Dusty Turner, class of 2007, began his Army career as an Engineer Officer and later served as an Operations Research Systems Analyst before joining the U.S. Military Academy faculty as an Academy Professor. He has led Soldiers in both Iraq and Afghanistan and now draws on that operational experience to develop cadets’ skills in leadership, ethics, and analytical thinking. Co-author of the ggvfields R package, he is committed to advancing data-driven decision-making within the Army. He and his wife, Jill, live at West Point with their 12-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter.
