MAJ James M. Berry is an Instructor in the Department of History at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He teaches HI302: History of the Military Art and has also taught HI101 and HI381: History of Irregular Warfare. He commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 2012 as a Quartermaster and was recently selected to serve as an Army Strategist (FA59).

MAJ Berry has held leadership and staff positions in the 3rd Infantry Division and 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, including deployments to Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in U.S. history at the University of Southern Mississippi.
