Mr. Jared M. Murphy
AI Researcher
Robotics Research Center
Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
Jared Murphy is currently an AI researcher with BluePath Labs, contracted to support the Robotics Research Center with its artificial intelligence and machine learning research needs.
He formerly supported the Army Cyber Institute; partnering with several team leaders and researchers to produce applied research involving synthetic data generation for cyber security purposes using diffusion models, multi-agent deep reinforcement learning for cyber conflict simulation and experimentation, temporal graph networks for autonomous dynamic network micro-segmentation in zero-trust architectures, and resource-efficient, self-adaptive neurosymbolic artificial intelligence for the Internet of Battlefield Things.
Before coming to USMA, Jared attended the Rochester Institute of Technology Data Science Master's Program on a full research scholarship. At RIT, he assisted the program director in developing algorithms for explainable AI and time series forecasting. His research contributions ultimately led to the development of the Evolutionary eXploration of Augmenting Genetic Programs (EXA-GP) algorithm, which bridged the gap between neuroevolution and genetic programming.
