MAJ Jason Pearson is a native of Wichita, KS. He enlisted in the Army in 2002 as an 11B, Infantryman. While enlisted, he deployed with 10th Mountain Division to Afghanistan (2003-2004) and Iraq (2005-2006). He also deployed with First Army to Afghanistan (2010-2011).

During his enlisted time, he served as a Radio Telephone Operator (RTO), M249 Saw Gunner, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Observer/Controller Trainer, and Rear Detachment NCOIC.  In 2011, he was accepted into the Army’s Green to Gold Active-Duty Option program with assignment at Texas A&M-Central Texas.

In 2013, MAJ Pearson commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in Logistics and upon completion of Quartermaster Basic Officer Leader Course in 2013, was assigned to 16th Combat Aviation Brigade in JBLM, WA.  He served as a Platoon Leader and deployed with 16 CAB to Afghanistan in 2014.  Upon return, he served as a Battalion Assistant S3, Company Executive Officer, and Support Operations Transportation OIC. 

In 2017, MAJ Pearson attended Logistics Captain’s Career Course in Fort Gregg-Adams, VA and received assignment to 16th Sustainment Brigade in Baumholder, Germany.  He served as a Support Operations Current Operations OIC, Company Commander of 51st Composite Truck Company (Heavy), and Brigade Assistant S3. 

In 2020, MAJ Pearson was selected to attend the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program at West Point, NY, earning a master’s degree in organizational psychology and leadership from Columbia University.  While assigned to USMA, he served three years as a Company Tactical Officer prior to assignment at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School as a Company Tactical Officer. 

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Accommodation Medal, Army Accommodation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Ribbon, NATO ISAF Ribbon, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, NCO Professional Development Award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge. 

MAJ Pearson’s family includes his spouse of 21 years, Candice Pearson, and his three children.  His oldest daughter, Kilee Pearson, is a senior at Virginia Tech; his son, Brennan Pearson, is a sophomore at the United States Military Academy, and his youngest daughter, Emma Pearson, is a senior at James I O’Neill High School.
