Personal WebsiteDr. Joseph Dorta is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at West Point. He completed his doctorate in mathematics at Louisiana State University under the advisement of Dr. Pramod N. Achar (2024). His research interests in pure mathematics focus on geometric representation theory and applications of representation theory to hyperplane arrangements. His research in applied mathematics spans the realms of motion planning, topological robotics, math in art and literature, and algebraic reasoning in teaching. He serves as Officer representative to West Point's men's handball team.
