The U.S. Military Academy celebrated the efforts of the 18th Eisenhower Leader Development Program cohort at the Haig Room in Jefferson Hall as 17 officers received their diplomas, marking the successful completion of the ELDP Masters of Arts Program, where they completed their Master's Degree in Social-Organizational Psychology (Leader Development) from Teachers College, Columbia University on May 19.
The 17 newest graduates of the program will go on to serve at three different military academies around the world – the Hellenic Army Academy in Athens, Greece, the United States Coast Guard Academy, and USMA.
ELDP is a twelve-month, intensive Master of Arts in Social-Organizational Psychology comprised of 45 credit hours in three academic semesters. Students complete four courses taught by USMA faculty and eleven courses taught by Teachers College, Columbia University faculty on the Columbia campus. The program's major themes include leader development, coaching, organizational culture, cross-cultural leadership, quantitative analysis, and leading change. At the completion of the Eisenhower Program, graduates are assigned to serve as tactical officers and various leader-developer roles across West Point.”
