With observing April as the Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month (SAAPM), the West Point Sexual Harassment, Assault Response & Prevention (SHARP) Program hosted the annual “Walk A Mileˮ April 27 along Thayer Statue and The Plain (above).
(Below left) Members of Keller Army Community Hospital manned the SHARP tents during the event. (Below right) Members of the Corps of Cadets were among several hundred who traveled the Walk A Mile in support of those who were sexually harassed and assaulted, and to keep it in the forefront of peopleʼs minds to prevent it.
(Far left) Those who trekked the Walk A Mile viewed silhouettes along the path wearing T-shirts that represented cadets who experienced some form of unwanted sexual contact.
(Above) The T-shirts from the colors represented those who didnʼt filed a report and those who filed a restricted and unrestricted report.
