West Point celebrates Arbor, Earth Days with a tree planting ceremony

The West Point Directorate of Public Works Environmental and Grounds Team and West Point’s Green Team Environmental Club recently celebrated both Arbor and Earth Days by planting a Swamp White Oak tree behind the greenhouse of West Point Superintendent’s house. West Point’s Dean of the Academic Board, Brig. Gen. Shane Reeves, DPW’s Agronomist Phil Koury, Tree and Gardening Supervisor Rich Hawkenberry and Environmental Engineer Sapphira Whigham presented the tree for the Arbor Day celebration.
