The U.S. Army Garrison West Point, West Point Directorate of Emergency Services in concert with West Point Family Homes hosted National Night Out, a nationwide event that focuses on strengthening the relationship between communities and their local police departments, Aug. 2 at the K Lot parking lot near the MWR Fitness Center.
Since its inception in 1984, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and better places to live.
The public service organizations on West Point served free hot dogs, games, giveaways and prizes during the fun event.
