Board of Visitors to Hold Meeting

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Board of Visitors of the U.S. Military Academy will hold a meeting on Monday, Oct. 16, starting at 9 a.m., in Jefferson Hall’s Haig Room.  The meeting will be in-person. The board will review and receive updates on the academic, physical, and military programs.  

The Board of Visitors is appointed under the provision of Section 7455 of Title 10 and the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972.  It is the duty of the board to inquire about the academy’s morale and discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, and academic methods. The board consists of presidential appointees and members of Congress. 

The Senators are Tammy Duckworth, Joe Manchin, Joni Ernst and Jerry Moran. Representatives include Chair Steve Womack, Mark Green, Warren Davidson, and Patrick Ryan. Presidential appointees include Hon. Charles Hagel, Vice Chair retired Lt. Gen. Nadja West and retired Lt. Col. Roderick Alvendia, Dr. Leslie Fenwick, Ms. Susan Irons and Mr. Juan Sabater.
