WEST POINT, N.Y. – The U.S. Military Academy’s multi-agency force protection exercise is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23.

The exercise will create intermittent closures and delays throughout the day. Federal, state and local emergency vehicles will be participating in the exercise which may cause delays on surrounding roadways. Residents, cadets, faculty, staff and guests should plan accordingly.

“We continue to leverage best practices from the Army to meet readiness training objectives in a persistent COVID environment while adhering to safety and health guidelines to protect our community,” said West Point Garrison Commander Col. Evangeline Rosel.

This exercise will enable West Point leaders, first-responders and tenant organizations to participate in an assessment of emergency preparedness procedures and capabilities.

Please be prepared for unannounced gate and road closures while we test our response systems. No action is required by the public.
