WEST POINT, N.Y. – Several U.S. Military Academy cadets have been selected to receive prestigious scholarships allowing for continued academic study following graduation and commissioning in May from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest United States exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide. The program currently awards approximately 2,000 grants annually in all fields of study and operates in more than 140 countries worldwide.

“The hard work and dedication of our cadets continues to receive great recognition in national and international scholarship competitions,” said U.S. Military Academy Dean of the Academic Board Brig. Gen. Cindy Jebb. “This most recent announcement, of the class of 2019 Fulbright recipients, is an acknowledgment of the character, intellect, and accomplishments of our cadets as well as the commitment of our faculty. We’re proud that these bright leaders of character will continue to advance their academic studies following graduation, not only expanding their world views as officers, but strengthening international partnerships through their involvement and contributions to world-class institutions of higher education abroad.”
