West Point Events Open to the Community

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The community is invited to visit historic West Point and enjoy the variety of open events happening in the coming weeks.

Thursday retried Gen. Ann Dunwoody will receive the prestigious Association of Graduates Thayer Award.

• 5 p.m. parade in her honor on the Plain.

Saturday, Oct. 12
• 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fall yard sale. Shoppers from neighboring communities are welcome to visit the yard sale throughout the designated housing areas on post.
• 3 p.m. Men’s and women’s swimming and diving vs UMASS at Crandall Pool.
• 5 - 9 p.m. Cabaret dinner and show featuring the New York Nightingales with Jazz music from the 1930s - 1940s eras at Ike’s Riverside Café.

Tuesday, Oct. 15
• 7 p.m. Women’s volleyball vs Lafayette at Gillis Field House.
• 7 p.m. Men’s soccer vs St. Bonaventure at Malek Stadium.

Thursday, Oct. 17
• All-day Women’s tennis ITA Regionals at Malek Tennis Center.

Friday, Oct. 18
• All-day Women’s tennis ITA Regionals at Malek Tennis Center.
• 7 p.m. Dierks Bentley Burning Man Tour at Michie Stadium http://goarmywestpoint.com/tickets

Saturday, Oct. 19
• All-day Women’s tennis ITA Regionals at Malek Tennis Center.
• 12 p.m. Men’s rugby vs St. Bonaventure at Anderson Rugby Complex.
• 2 p.m. Women’s volleyball vs Loyola at Gillis Field House.
• 7:05 p.m. Men’s hockey vs Robert Morris at Tate Rink.

Visitors will be required to check in at the Visitor Control Center to be issued local access credentials to gain entry to the installation on non-football days.
