WEST POINT, N.Y. – The U.S. Military Academy is launching a refreshed westpoint.edu website today at 6 p.m. The site layout and design will be dramatically improved - befitting the world’s preeminent leader development institution.

“West Point’s website is a dynamic asset that will be updated as technology advances and new requirements become known to ensure it continues to meet the needs of its users,” said Associate Dean for Engagement Col. Jordon E. Swain. “We are incredibly excited about this milestone and the opportunities it presents for the academy as we embark on this journey towards a more dynamic and accessible online presence.”

Key highlights:

  • Informative Content for Prospective Cadets: The refreshed website will contain content tailored specifically to inform and guide prospective cadets through their journey of exploring West Point. From admission requirements to information about the military, academic, and physical programs, to barracks life and career opportunities, the website will inform those who are unfamiliar with the academy about the experience as well as the unique value proposition West Point provides.
  • Improved User Experience: Seamless navigation is important, which is why the redesigned website will offer an enhanced user experience. The addition of persona pages with content tailored to different stakeholder groups (staff, faculty, cadets, alumni, visitors, etc.) and other intuitive menus, streamlined layouts, and optimized search functionality will make the website easier to navigate; users will be able to find the content they want quickly.
  • Enhanced Look and Feel: The refreshed website will offer a more exciting and authentic representation of West Point.

While the primary focus of this refresh is to empower prospective cadets and their influencers with the information they need to make informed decisions about joining the Long Gray Line, we recognize that the website serves as a vital communication tool for various stakeholder groups, including alumni, parents, visitors, staff and faculty, and cadets. If there is content or functionality that you think would help improve the new website, please let us know by using the feedback link in the footer of the site.
