The grills were fired up, hot dogs and burgers were served and beverages were guzzled as cadets and U.S. Military Academy staff and faculty gathered to witness the Boxing Rumble Sept. 10 at West Point’s central area. Cadets from the Army West Point boxing team competed against one another in a no holds barred match up showcasing their boxing acumen amongst a roaring crowd. The winners of the Boxing Rumble bouts were Class of 2023 Cadet Bill Purvedorj (138 pounds), Class of 2023 Cadet Skye Williams (womenʼs 145 pounds), Class of 2023 Cadet Jon Parham (185 pounds), Class of 2022 Cadet Amadou Bah (170 pounds), Class of 2024 Cadet Caroline Althouse (womenʼs 125 pounds), Class of 2023 Cadet Matt Beason (Heavyweight), Class of 2022 Ben Westerberg (195 pounds) and Class of 2022 Cadet Isaiah Queen (152 pounds).
