
MAJ Richie Dulce is an Aviation Officer and Instructor in the Department of Systems Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research interests are data analytics, decision/risk analysis, human factors, and talent management.
Upon commissioning, MAJ Dulce completed Initial Entry Rotary Wing training and qualified as a UH-60 pilot. He was first assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade in Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, where he served as a company executive officer for the Headquarters Company (HHC) and platoon leader in the Command Aviation Company. From 2018-2019, MAJ Dulce attended the Aviation Captain’s Career Course at Fort Novosel, AL. MAJ Dulce then served as the Brigade Aviation Element in 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. In September 2019, MAJ Dulce assumed command of HHC, 2-4 General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB). In this role and amid a global pandemic, MAJ Dulce deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. While deployed to Afghanistan, MAJ Dulce took command of A Co, 2-4 GSAB. MAJ Dulce’s units played a significant role in the final withdrawal of coalition forces from Afghanistan in 2021. Upon redeployment, MAJ Dulce relinquished command and served as the battalion executive officer for 2-4 GSAB. MAJ Dulce is a qualified Pilot in Command and Air Mission Commander in the UH-60L/M Blackhawk. MAJ Dulce is a graduate of Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) school, Air Assault school, Equal Opportunity Leader’s Course, and Joint Firepower Course.
MAJ Dulce is married to Madison Dulce and they have two children together: Kaiden, and Mia. MAJ Dulce was the captain of the West Point Men’s Army Volleyball Team as a cadet, is involved with the local church, and currently enjoys travel, hiking, playing sports, and spending quality time friends and family.
