WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Swimming & Diving welcomed two Patriot League opponents to Crandall Pool this weekend for back-to-back meets. Army dominated both meets with both the men’s and women’s squads earning a pair of wins for the Black Knights.
Army split it’s meet with Boston College over two days (Oct. 24-25) with only the diving events on the first day and only swimming events on the following day. The Black Knights then welcomed Boston University to Crandall Pool on Oct. 26 for a full slate of competition.
ARMY VS. BOSTON COLLEGE
Women: Army 182, Boston College 116
The Black Knights put on a strong showing in their first meet of the weekend, claiming 12 first-place finishes out of 16 total events.
Angie McKane helped Army pick up a trio of first-place finishes during her time in the water as she earned an individual first-place finish in the women’s 50 free (23.58) before taking part in the women’s 200 medley relay (1:44.56) and the women’s 400 freestyle relay (3:30.15) for her remaining two first-place finishes in the meet.
Jenna Hart logged a series of emphatic performances – earning first place in the women’s 100 back (57.36), second place in the women’s 100 fly (57.54), and first place in the women’s 200 medley relay (1:44.56).
On the diving side of the meet, Minh Donnell secured first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with scores of 238.58 and 282.60, respectively.
Men: Army 216, Boston College 84
The Army men’s team put on a show over its two days of competition, locking in to claim first place in 15 of the 16 events slated for the dual meet.
David Manelis performed well for the men’s divers to kick things off on Thursday, posting a score of 294.45 to claim first place in the 3-meter five as well as earning third place in the 1-meter dive with his score of 268.50.
Another pair of Army’s first-place finishes came from Kalvin Hahn as he clocked times of 55.52 in the men’s 100 breast and 1:57.89 in the men’s 200 breast.
Daniel Verdolaga picked up a trio of first-place finishes of his own against Boston College, putting up times of 48.17 in the men’s 100 fly, 1:50.83 in the men’s 200 IM, and 1:28.14 in the men’s 200 medley relay.

Women: Army 155, Boston University 69
Army’s squad did not slow down on its third day of competition as they collected nine of the 12 first-place finishes up for grabs against Boston University.
Donnell put up another set of inspired performances for the Black Knights, coming within 15 points of Army's program record for 1-meter dive scores at 298.57 as she earned a 279.90 in the contest to claim first place. Donnell claimed first place in the 3-meter dive as well with her scores.
Catriona Gilmore helped Army’s women’s swimmers to a pair of their first-place finishes with Gilmore clocking a 1:04.72 in the women’s 100 breast and a 1:44.15 in the women’s 200 medley relay.
Men: Army 177, Boston University 47
The men dominated their side of the event, claiming first place in all 12 of Saturday’s events.
Freshman Johnny Crush extended the brilliant start to his collegiate career with a pair of first-place finishes in the dual meet against Boston University with his time of 20.53 in the men’s 50 free as well as a 1:29.87 in the men’s medley relay.
