The West Point Negotiation Project -- as part of the West Point Leadership Center and the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership (BS&L) hosted its 15th annual Cadet Workshop from April 3–5 at Eisenhower Hall.

The workshop featured more than 90 cadets from West Point, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and U.S. Army Cadet Command (ROTC) programs from across the nation. The workshop aims to provide these cadets with the skills and calculated approach to grow as problem solvers, communicators, and leaders.

Over the course of three days, the cadets participate in three in-depth and realistic simulations that allow them to put the skills they’ve learned into practice and grow as negotiators.

This year’s workshop also featured a keynote address from Mr. Kyle Vowinkel (USMA ’93) who inspired the cadets as he shared his experiences as a former FBI Special Agent and negotiator for the renowned Crisis Negotiation Unit (CNU).
